4 Places To Go for Brunch In Auckland

If you’re a bit of a foodie you’ll be pleased to know that along with adventure and exhilaration, New Zealand holidays are definitely all about the food.
The Federal Delicatessen
The Federal Delicatessen has taken inspiration from classic 1950s New York diners and added a New Zealand twist on things. That being said, the menu is deliciously tempting. Try the blueberry buttermilk pancakes with strudel nut crunch and cinnamon butter, banana and toffee pie, and homemade Chelsea buns. Also, don’t pass on their filtered cold brew coffee and famous mimosas (if you’re in the mood!).
Ortolana
In Italian its name means ‘market gardener’. This contemporary bistro provides a classy and modern twist on traditional brunch dishes. In addition, they use seasonal produce from their own farm and other local growers. We tried some goodies, yoghurt with spiced honey and seasonal fruit, mushroom and truffle omelette, and beetroot gnocchi with goat’s cheese and heirloom beets.
Circus Circus
It probably won’t come as any surprise that this establishment is 100% circus themed! As well as making a big impact with bundles of personality, the great news is that their menu doesn’t disappoint either. Some of their most popular dishes include the Big Top Breakfast, the soup of the day served with garlic bread, and vanilla pancakes with toffee, walnuts, banana, and whipped butter.
Chill In Gala Café On Your New Zealand Holidays
Smoothies are available with ice cream, protein shots or dairy-free alternatives. Not to mention, Gala Café’s menu is fuss-free and packed with bold flavours. Try the French toast with bacon and banana, and waffles. There’s a cool outdoor seating area, and if it’s chilly, their cosy and welcoming fireplace is utterly delightful.
