Trip and adventure of a lifetime with a great bunch! Our tour guide Claudia was super friendly and helpful throughout the journey. "It doesn't get better than this" was something I found myself repeating every day!

I recently went on the NZ Explorer tour, and I highly recommend Wild Kiwi for your NZ adventure, which covers both the North and South Islands. The bus was equipped with Wi-Fi for the road trip, and the hostels were comfortable. The tour itself was structured like a road trip—while there was a plan for when we were on the road, once we arrived at each destination, we had the flexibility to do what we wanted. The tour guides also arranged activities for those who wanted to participate. The semi-structured nature of the tour ensured we had fun without missing out on any must-see sights.
My tour guide for the South Island loop was Claudia. Claudia’s energetic and friendly personality helped break the ice, turning strangers into friends on Day 1. She kept the tour enjoyable while sharing interesting facts about New Zealand's history and Maori culture.
On the North Island, my tour guide was Telli. Telli’s sense of humor added an extra layer of fun to the trip. When a few of us had conflicting activity plans, Telli would say, "Let me see what I can do," and get creative to help us maximize our experience.
I especially appreciated that both Claudia and Telli never pushed any activities on anyone, allowing everyone to choose based on their interests and budget.
Great job, Claudia and Telli! Thanks to your efforts, we started the tour as strangers but ended it as friends on a roadtrip to remember for life!

This is a MUST do for those wanting to see New Zealand, have shorter time limits and want to pack a bunch in. From the get go, the tour was so well organised, with Claudia leading the way and making sure everyone was looked after. With a small group, it really helped with dynamics and was able to create a great team unit with so much energy throughout. A lot of the activities are additional costs but is completely up to you what you do, with no pressure whatsoever to do certain things. Comfy bus with good aircon and the hostels were comfy as well. Breakfast was continental style but you could request certain things if you wanted them. Claudia made this trip super special with her buzzing energy, vast knowledge and friendly demeanour

Honestly wild kiwi explore tour was one of (if not the best) tour experience i’ve ever had. I loved how inclusive and welcoming they were. I already miss my tour group and it’s only been a week since leaving New Zealand 🩷

I have just finished the 3 week tour and genuinely had the best 3 weeks of my entire life. Every day was different, the scenery was incredible, all the activities I did were so fun. We had Tom, Telli and Daisy, they were the best tour guides I’ve ever had, so funny & friendly and had so much knowledge to share. I would absolutely recommend Wild Kiwi to anyone, it was a once in a lifetime trip and to cover so much in 3 weeks I really felt like I have experienced and seen New Zealand, I had such an insane time.

I did the Premium - New Zealand Highlights in January 2025 with Wild Kiwi and had an incredible time. What a country! Incredible landscapes, vibrant culture, cool towns, and great infrastructure. I got lucky with two great groups on both the North and South islands.
Our South Island guide, (Big) Ben, made this trip exceptional. Ben's knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for New Zealand shone through. He ensured that every part of our journey was memorable, providing fascinating insights into the history and culture of each destination. Ben's ability to connect with the group and his unfaltering energy and timing turned our trip into a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.
If I had to make one recommendation to Wild Kiwi, it would be to add more items to the tour inclusions. Having said that, I understand that different individuals will want to customize their trips in different ways.
I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the highlights of New Zealand. And if you get Ben as your guide, consider yourself lucky.

I did the Explorer tour for 14 days, and it was wonderful. If you have time, it’s definitely worth visiting both the south and the north because each place has its own charm. The activities were very well organized, the guides were amazing, and you always have the freedom to choose whether or not to participate in the proposed activities. I 100% recommend this company. A special mention to our guide, Teli, who undoubtedly made the trip very enjoyable.

I had an incredible two weeks on the NZ Explorer trip with Telli and Daisy. Stunning scenery, heaps of activities, a great group and two amazing guides. Would certainly recommend for solo travellers looking to see the best of NZ in a short space of time!

So damn worth it!! Joined Wild Kiwi on their South Island Escape tour and it's honestly been one of the best weeks of my life. I did so many activities, including skydiving, which has been on my bucket list for ages, and met and bonded with other lovely people. Our guide Ben was the nicest and most informative person we could have had. He stopped at the best spots and had amazing recommendations of things we could do/visit. I loved it so much, I'm most likely going to join the north tour in the near future! Massive thanks all <3

If you want to see the South Island this is the tour for you. I enjoyed every moment of the tour, my group were amazing, and our tour guide Daisy is a legend. I didn’t want it to end. We saw so many amazing views and I truly fell in love with New Zealand. I also want to add that I had the best NYE ever, full of adventure, food, drinks and positive vibes. We even saw a sun halo on New Year’s Day!! Thanks so much Daisy and everyone in my group for bringing in 2025 in the best way possible.

Did the North Island tour with Tom. I had an amazing time! It was really great to just relax and have everything organised for me. It was also exciting to travel with people from all over the world.

Best two weeks of my life doing the Big South with Wild Kiwi! Claudia and Daisy were our amazing guides who had so much knowledge and they looked after us all while making the trip so fun for everyone. They brought the best energy and organised so many group activities for us all. Wild Kiwi is an amazing way to see New Zealand in a friendly safe group - I travelled solo to come on this trip but I didn’t feel alone for a single minute once I arrived. I can’t recommend Wild Kiwi enough - memories for life!!!
