Fergbaker, Queenstown
This super-sweet sister to the iconic Fergburger is famed for its pastries and its ice cream. If you’re looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat, it’s probably not possible to out-do Fergbaker. It’s safe to say you’ll find everything from freshly baked pretzels to doughnuts and toasted sandwiches. And, they also do a pretty mean cup of coffee, too.
Winona Forever, Auckland
Popular among locals and visitors alike, we’re pretty sure that Winona Forever could put a smile on your face. As well as its cheery interior and incredible food, your day is guaranteed to get off to the best possible start. A menu boasting jam and mascarpone doughnut, French toast, Eton Mess, or even a classic caramel slice. Whatever you choose, Winona Forever definitely won’t disappoint.
C1 Espresso, Christchurch
C1 Espresso is a bit of an institution in Christchurch. With their original premises destroyed in the Canterbury earthquake, the resilient team pulled together and reopened in the old Post Office building. Serving everything from light bites – fruit plate and cinnamon porridge to more substantial dishes including French toast and open breakfast burritos. We’re sure you’ll find something tempting to chow down in no time at all! And, did we mention it’s worth taking a trip to the bathroom? Trust us, the secret doorway and epic decor just adds to the entire experience.
Odette’s, Auckland
Serving possibly the best vanilla crepes in town, Odette’s relaxed ambience is well worth a visit. But, if you prefer something more savoury, Odette’s serves an incredible full breakfast with avocado and toasted sourdough best enjoyed with a freshly pressed juice or smoothie. Hands down one of the perfect places to unwind and enjoy a wonderful meal with great friends.
