When to Go to New Zealand?

The great thing about Wild Kiwi is that you can hop aboard all year round, and most activities (weather permitting) are usually available. Of course, it just depends on if you’re one to love the blooming spring, hot summer, or autumn temps. And of course, winter for the skiers and snowboarders among us!

Spring

September to November is Spring, so while there may be the occasional showers (with rainbows usually following) you get to experience the natural beauty of the country blooming around you.

Summer

Summer between December and February is peak travel time with the benefit of consistently warm weather to make all of the water-based activities extra lush.

Autumn

The months of March to May bring slightly cooler temperatures, but the big benefit is that while it remains quite warm during the day, the crowds can drop making the tourist hotspots less busy.

Winter

June to August is winter time in New Zealand, with crisp air and cool temperatures. This is also the perfect time to hit the slopes and ski or snowboard some of the most unforgettable runs in the world.
