Thinking of Travelling Solo? Here are 6 Reasons Why You Should Go For it!
By Wild Kiwi Team published on 7 July 2017
Here at Wild Kiwi HQ we’re huge advocates of solo travel and here are just some of the reasons why.
1. The People You’ll Meet
When you’re on your own, you’ll naturally find yourself more open to meeting and truly getting to know new people, whose paths would never have otherwise crossed with your own. Travelling solo is actually a pretty unbeatable way to make friends for life!
2. You’ll Have Incredible Stories to Tell
You’ve got to admit, being able to tell stories of that time you jetted off on your solo travels is pretty impressive and never again will you have to panic about curveball job interview questions, because you’ll always have an extraordinary answer that might just score you that dream role!
3. Learn How To Make Your ££ Stretch
Travelling with pals means you automatically have people to split bills with, and even though you’ll definitely meet new people to do those things with along the way, there will be at least a few occasions where you need to budget your cash wisely to do everything you really want to while you’re away.
4. Time To Think
‘Finding yourself’ is a cliché, but it resonates with so many for a reason. Being away from home will give you the chance to think about what you want from life and how you can get to where you really want to be.
5. Obliterate Your Comfort Zone
It’s easy to get stuck in a rut, but solo travel will give you a push to step outside your comfort zone, whether that’s by doing a bungee jump or realising your life’s passion is working in a turtle sanctuary thousands of miles from home. You’ll never know if you don’t give it a try!
6. Welcome Empowerment On Your Wild Kiwi Adventure
It might be a little scary at first, but you’ll soon find your groove and realise that, in the immortal words of Ginny Weasley (badass book Ginny, definitely not movie Ginny!), anything really is possible if you’ve got enough nerve!
